I am writing this end of year blog from a farm in the middle of the Cedarberg where we have been privileged to spend the last few days off the grid.

The time away from the hustle and bustle and digital connections has given me time to reflect and connect with my three little ones and hubby being in nature and outdoors. This again just confirms that we all need to get out into nature and switch off to connect with our loved ones. We do not need much and our kids to not need all the plastic toys often gifted at Christmas time. My kids were entertained with a soccer ball, drawing, bikes and a dam with no screen time. What gave me pure joy is coming outside to all three lying on the grass chatting and laughing - its the simple things.

We need to all focus on simplifying our lives and protecting Mother Nature around us and trying our best to live as sustainably as possible.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support over the last few months. I only established this business in September so the brand is still in its infancy but I have been blown away by the support from you all within the Harlow & Summer community as well as friends and family. From the personal messages on Instagram to the positive feedback after purchases.

I look forward to growing the brand in the New Year as we look at improving sustainability in our brand from raw materials to ways of working as well as some new prints and silhouettes.

I wish all of you a blessed Festive season and holiday time for those not celebrating Christmas and to stay safe.
